We made it to Chicago!

After arriving at John Wayne Airport at 4:30 a.m., we checked baggage, went through security, and spent about an hour and a half waiting for our scheduled 6:45 a.m. flight to Chicago. Fortunately, the two most important places were near our waiting area: Starbucks and McDonald's. We made good use of both in order to fuel up for the three and a half hour flight. It was nice that we had a direct flight, giving us more time to sleep, and sleep we did!

Once we arrived at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, we drove about 45 minutes to our hotel, checked in, then descended on the local Chipotle restaurant for much-needed food. No snow but it's very cold outside! We're now rested and ready for tonight's big game: game 1 of the tournament.
